From July 6-Sept. 6, 2026, Metro will complete major construction on the Red Line. During this period, trains will not operate between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights. Free parking will be available at North Bethesda and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations.
Free shuttle buses will replace trains at the following stations: Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, and Bethesda. Commuter Connections can help find carpool partners. https://www.commuterconnections.org/

Congratulations to these six employers for winning the 2nd Annual 2026 goDMV Commuter Competition for inspiring their employees to use cleaner ways to get around while logging their trips using the CommuterCash app. Employers won a catered lunch and cool swag for participating employees, plus an awards trophy!
