ASA thanks the bipartisan group of lawmakers who have cosponsored the No Surprises Act Enforcement Act. The No Surprises Act protects patients while helping physicians resolve payment disputes, but weak enforcement has let insurers engage in harmful payment practices without real consequences. This new bill strengthens the enforcement provisions that hold insurers accountable for late or missing payments, restoring Congressional intent.
