Providing free emergency medical services to the Georgetown community since 1982. In the event of a

Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Service is a student-run ambulance organization that has provided rapid response, treatment, and transport to Georgetown University and the surrounding community since in 1982. GERMS provides emergency care 24/7, year-round, free of charge. GERMS responds to medical emergencies on the Georgetown University main campus as well as the neighborhoods of West Georgetown, Burleith, and Foxhall.

Applications to the GERMS Spring 2026 Probationary Class are now open! 🚨 🚨
Applications are due at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, January 6.
First round decisions will be announced Thursday, January 8, and applicants who are selected to continue the application process will be interviewed in person on Saturday, January 10.
