PTM United States categorically rejects Maryam Nawaz Sharifs’ dangerous attempt to stigmatize Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and associate Pashtuns with terrorism.
Pashtuns are not terrorists. They are the greatest victims of terrorism—subjected to bloodshed, displacement, enforced disappearances, military operations, and the destruction of their homes and livelihoods. Punjab’s political elite, including the leadership of her own family, cannot escape responsibility for supporting policies and narratives that legitimized the very forces that devastated Pashtun lands.
If Maryam Nawaz genuinely wants to confront terrorism, she must stop targeting its victims and question the powerful generals, strategists, and policymakers sitting safely in Rawalpindi and Punjab. They transformed the Pashtun homeland into a battlefield, pursued their dangerous strategic agendas at the cost of Pashtun blood, and then blamed Pashtuns for the consequences?!
This victim-blaming is unacceptable and will not go unanswered. Pashtuns will no longer tolerate collective suspicion, racial profiling, or political propaganda portraying an entire nation as a security threat.
Stop blaming Pashtuns. Stop protecting the architects of terrorism. Hold the planners, sponsors, facilitators, and beneficiaries of these destructive policies accountable.
Pashtun blood is not expendable. Pashtun dignity is not negotiable.
