As we begin the month of September, the day Americans will never forget approaches. On September 11, 2001, we watched a horrific attack on our nation unfold, carried out by radical Islamic terrorists.

To honor the Americans who lost their lives that day, I introduced the National Patriot Day Remembrance Flag Act. This legislation designates the Freedom Flag as a national symbol of remembrance for September 11, 2001, ensuring that the lives lost in those terrorist attacks and the lives of the brave men and women who defended our homeland in the resulting War on Terror, will never be forgotten.

Recently, the Trump administration announced that our Commonwealth will receive a $122 million investment in rural health care through the Rural Health Transformation Program. This historic investment is critical to strengthening health care in our rural communities and ensuring that families across the Commonwealth have the resources they need to thrive.
