The Asphalt Wit Organization We believe music can be the carrot to help teach men and women about responsible parenting, budgeting and living.

The #51 Project is an innovative Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) sponsored by Asphalt Wit and The Adams Morgan Youth Leadershp Academy (AMYLA) . The program teaches youth participants about DC Statehood and community organizing using social and traditional media. By the program's conclusion, youth will develop and implement a DC Statehood campaign. Check out Bryan Weaver, below, who helped

provide an understanding of the importance of statehood to District residents during the first week of the project.

Self evidently
