🎉 Our Youth Council Fellows had an amazing time at the Asian Festival on Main in Old Town Fairfax City (Old Town Fairfax Business Association - OTFBA)!
Fellows tabled at the festival and sold blind boxes, showcasing their leadership and fundraising skills while helping raise awareness about AALEAD's work in the community.
The AALEAD Youth Council is a youth-led leadership body that empowers young people to become advocates, organizers, and change-makers. This year, Youth Council Fellows have been researching health disparities within immigrant communities in DC and looking for ways to make a real difference.
Every blind box purchased helps support organizations like the HOYA Clinic, which provides free, community-based medical care. By supporting this project, we're turning research into action and helping expand healthcare access for communities that need it most.
👏 We're so proud of our Fellows for leading with purpose and creating meaningful impact!
