15 years ago, Ohio Fire Fighters led the campaign to make the voice of working people heard by forcing and winning a “citizens veto” over a bill that would have stripped collective bargaining rights.

It was a shining example of what we can accomplish when Organized Labor works together toward a common goal.

🔥🏺📜 15 years after defeating Senate Bill 5/Issue 2 – the biggest political threat Ohio’s public workers have ever faced – the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters are sharing important lessons in labor history with a new documentary, titled "Fight of a Generation."

IAFF members, including IAFF 8th District Vice President Mark Sanders, share how helped save collective bargaining rights and protect working families across Ohio. They also remind the next generation of fire fighters to stay engaged, united, and to never give up.
