As May comes to a close, we recognize the family caregivers who manage the daily realities of caring for a loved one with osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is often called a "silent" condition — bones weaken gradually, without obvious symptoms, until a fall or fracture makes the stakes suddenly very clear. If you're caring for someone with osteoporosis, your attention to the everyday details is what keeps them safe.

That might look like rearranging furniture to clear a path, making sure medications are taken on schedule, or encouraging movement that builds strength without increasing risk. It's a lot to hold — and it matters more than most people realize.

A few things worth keeping in mind:
🏠 Fall prevention is critical — lighting, clutter, footwear, and home layout all play a role
💊 Medication adherence makes a real difference — tracking doses and side effects helps your loved one get the most from their treatment
🥗 Daily lifestyle choices add up — safe exercise, good nutrition, and maintaining independence all support bone health over time

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is unpredictable. Some days are manageable. Other days, symptoms flare, and everything changes. If you're caring for someone navigating MS, you're managing that unpredictability alongside them.

MS caregiving is unique because it's often invisible. Your loved one might look fine on the outside while managing fatigue, pain, cognitive changes, and emotional weight on the inside. And you're managing the uncertainty of what each day will bring.

Keep in mind:
🎢 Unpredictability is part of the condition - flexibility and patience are your superpowers
👁️ Invisible symptoms are real - trust your loved one when they say they're struggling
💪 Your role as a support person is crucial, but so is your own wellbeing

Whether your loved one was recently diagnosed or has been managing MS for years, you're navigating medical complexity, emotional weight, and the constant need to adapt. That takes strength.

This , explore our MS Caregiver Guide for communication strategies, symptom management support, emotional wellness resources, and practical tips designed specifically for you:

When families start asking whether home is still the safest option for their loved one’s care, the next steps can feel overwhelming fast.

If you missed our webinar on choosing a long-term care facility, the replay is now available.

"Low staffing ratings often correlate with lower outcomes for your loved one and worse outcomes and a higher risk for neglect. Okay, that's the biggest single factor when it comes to making sure your loved one is provided with the proper care. They need to have enough hands in the building."

Watch to hear helpful guidance from Jeff Aidikoff of Bedsore.Law on what caregivers should ask, what red flags to watch for, and how to move through this decision with more clarity.

Landman wraps an oil-field thriller in something far more personal — strained family bonds, aging parents, and the quiet, complicated weight of caregiving.

When Billy Bob Thornton's Tommy Norris finds himself caring for his estranged father TL (Sam Elliott), he's not just managing a household — he's confronting decades of unresolved history, while his wife Angela holds the family together from the inside out.
In our latest Caregivers in Context, we explore how Taylor Sheridan's hit Paramount+ series uses West Texas grit and raw family drama to capture the emotional labor of caregiving, the long shadow of addiction and mental illness, and the relationships that shape us — whether we're ready or not.
