Amb Al Otaiba: Lana Nusseibeh is a close friend, wonderful colleague and one of the most accomplished diplomats I have ever had the privilege to work with. She is poised to lead an organization that is more important than ever.

A true global stateswoman, Lana will use all her skills and compassion to make the world a better place. Her 11 years of experience in the United Nations will give her confidence and credibility to be an effective force and meet the many challenges of our time.

Last week, influential women from across the globe gathered for the five-year anniversary of the Forbes 30/50 Summit, in partnership with Mika Brzezinski's Know Your Value. UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Minister of State HE Noura Al Kaabi joined Mika Brzezinski and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on stage for a conversation on women’s expanding role in global leadership, the power of dialogue and the importance of building bridges across cultures and generations.

As the UAE advances its ambitious technology goals, partnerships with American technology companies have supported its pioneering role as one of the world's first AI-powered governments. UAE Minister of State for AI HE Omar Sultan Al Olama joined Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff at Dreamforce 2026 to discuss the UAE's commitment to deploying agentic AI across 50% of government services, sectors and operations within two years.

For the UAE, the urgency is clear — HE Al Olama pointed to the Arab world's delayed adoption of the printing press as a reminder of what it costs to be slow to embrace transformative technology. The UAE is not making that mistake with AI, and with strong US partnerships behind it, the work of building one of the world's most efficient, future-ready governments is already well underway.
