There is still time to submit your nominations for the inaugural Future Moguls Executive Accelerator @ The Mecca, a new seven-session program hosted in partnership with the Howard University School of Business Office of Executive Education.

This landmark initiative is designed to strengthen the District’s leadership pipeline by equipping rising entrepreneurs, nonprofit executives, government contractors, founders, and emerging professionals with the strategic tools and networks needed to lead in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Participants will engage directly with Howard University faculty and regional business leaders through sessions focused on leadership development, strategic thinking, AI readiness, executive negotiation, government contracting, personalized coaching, and high-value network building — the competencies shaping the future of our region’s economy.

A defining feature of the program is the Future Mogul Business Opportunity Capstone Project, where each participant will identify a market-specific opportunity within the region and develop a compelling business case designed to turn ideas into actionable opportunities for growth, partnership, investment, or procurement.

Downtown DC came alive last week as the DC Chamber's August Business After Business took over the Warner Theatre for an evening of connection and conversation.

Chamber members, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from across the region gathered to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones in one of the city's most iconic venues.

We extend our gratitude to Warner Theatre Premium Experiences for hosting and sponsoring the evening and helping create such a memorable experience for our business community.

We also thank Margery Goldberg, director and founder of Zenith Gallery, for joining us as our special guest. Founded in 1978, Margery built Zenith Square as a part of her gallery, a 50,000‑square‑foot creative haven where local artists could live, work, and share their craft with the city. Her mission has always been about lifting up painters, sculptors, and mixed‑media artists by giving them real space, opportunity, and a sustainable path forward. Congratulations on 48 years, Margery!

Recently, the DC Chamber team welcomed Amy Shields, executive director of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Foundation and vice president of programming at ACCE, for a breakfast learning session at the DC Chamber's office.

Amy shared valuable insights on the current state of chamber membership across the country, best practices for attracting and retaining members, and key findings from ACCE's Horizon 2035 initiative.
