This summer, Playtime welcomed so many wonderful special guests to our camps!

🪏 Dr. Beth from Archaeology in the Community taught us about the different types of archaeologists
🧪 Dr. Ann from Science is Elemental led engaging science workshops
🍎 Ms. Esther from Health Sense at University of Maryland helped us understand what habits are healthy for our bodies
🦅 Mr. Jason from Watkins Regional Park let us interact with different animals
🤘 Ms. Farrah, a summer intern, showed us a few words in American Sign Language
🦢 Ms. Naoko from Naoko Origami for All Kids facilitated an origami lesson
🏛️ Dr. Butler from Georgetown University opened our eyes to the potential in all of us

We are thrilled to announce Playtime at the Plaza (The Plaza), our first permanent hub for children and families experiencing housing insecurity in Prince George's County.

For the past five years, we have brought the healing power of play to every emergency shelter in Prince George’s County.

Now, we are deepening our impact by establishing a permanent hub at the Beltway Plaza Mall.

This exciting expansion is the next evolution of Playtime Project’s work: growing our presence in Prince George’s County while continuing our longstanding commitment to children and families experiencing housing insecurity in Washington, DC.
