U.S. Indian Police Academy celebrates excellence ๐ŸŽ“

The Indian Country Police Officer Training Program Class 199B, a pilot cohort from the northern tier, is set to graduate at Camp Grafton in North Dakota on September 15, 2026. Eleven cadets representing 12 tribal agencies will have advanced through all four core phases and will be ready to serve across Indian Country.

This will mark one of the first basic training programs in the region, developed in response to tribal agency requests and delivered in partnership with federal and regional law enforcement organizations. Our regionally based, federally certified training provides a sustainable path for tribal law enforcement agencies.

During their final week, cadets will complete scenario-based training, crime scene processing, officer wellness courses and the Rattlesnake Run, a 7.2-mile police memorial run for those who served.

The U.S. Indian Police Academy remains committed to providing the highest standard of law enforcement training across Indian Country. ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ
