Research: EPA Smart Growth conducts research on a variety of topics, including:
rural smart growth, business and economic development, water quality and green infrastructure, transportation and air quality, climate change and energy, brownfields, infill, and more. Tools: EPA Smart Growth has several tools designed to implement smart growth approaches. Tools include: step-by-step guide to building a place-based economic development strategy, a self-assessment for rural communities, smart location calculator, geospatial data, water quality scorecard and many other practical resources for smart growth development.
