On June 1, Chairwoman Homendy joined families, first responders, and community members in Alexandria, Va. to honor the 67 lives lost in the January 29, 2025, Potomac River midair collision.

As we remember those who were lost, we reaffirm our commitment to preventing future tragedies.
A year after the accident, the NTSB issued 50 safety recommendations designed to address the risks identified during the investigation.

The NTSB will continue to fight for the safety changes needed to honor the memory of those who were lost.
