Erica Caines and Tunde Osazua, Nat’l Coordinators for the Black Alliance for Peace, return to WPFW’s Voices With Vision to talk about BAP’s stand on the US-Israeli attacks on Iran, with a collage of audio from the STOP THE WAR ON IRAN demo in Washington DC, that include an excerpt of the speech Jacqueline Luqman. This episode is receiving much praise from listeners, including the station management itself. It will likely rebroadcast https://archive.wpfwfm.org/mp3/wpfw_260303_090001voiceswdiocoop.mp3

It is with the heaviest of hearts that WPFW announces the passing of our beloved brother, comrade, and colleague Michael Nasella on Monday, February 2nd at 55 years of age.

Known to some as Magic Myke, and to others as Red Eagle - as a WPFW board operator for over two decades, it was his agile hands, generous spirit, sharp wit and engineering prowess that kept many of our programs broadcasting seamlessly.

The entire WPFW family joins together in sending our heartfelt condolences to his lovely family - his wife Kim, and their children Yashuwah (YA-SHOE-WAH) and Kaya (KY-YAH).

We thank Myke Nasella, for his immense contributions to our station, which he loved dearly, and for being such a beautiful example to all at WPFW and beyond of the deepest and best kind of humanity.

Today (Tues, Dec 9) is this week's episode of Voices With Vision, starting 9:00 am ET on WPFW, 89.3 FM. I am writing because for the second half of the hour we will open the phone lines for listeners to call in and comment live on the air about what you believe is a principles, people's centered electoral platform for a mayoral and/or city council candidate for office in Washington DC. We are sending this note to get some of you insightful BAP / PACA comrades to weigh in, to get more than the usual suspects who listen and call in.

The first half of the show will actually be an audio collage on: Mumia's eyesight challenge, U.S. military troops in the streets, and the relevance of the "combat literature" of Franz Fanon, fallacious thinking about socialism, and political prisoners.

Once the phone lines open at the bottom of the hour, you can call 202-588-0893. To listen, you can tune in to 89.3 FM on the radio if you're in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area OR you can listen on the livestream on https://wpfwfm.org/radio/

Feel free to challenge anything you hear. We are not asking you to call in just to affirm and/or validate what we're broadcasting.

We look forward to hearing those cutting edge comments!

VOICES WITH VISION NOVEMBER 11, 2025

We speak with Comrade Oliver of Pan-African Community Action first about PACA's analysis of the DC curfew and then Dhoruba bin-Wahad generally about the political moment we're in and the challenges international neo-fascism poses to the global south.

Fair warning: This, as are all of our shows, is not for the politically faint of heart.😎
