From our committee rooms to communities.

This is why full-year appropriations matter. FY26 funding bills passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump are delivering real-world results through projects that improve infrastructure, reduce travel times, and support economic growth.

I spoke today at the ribbon cutting for the I-15 Smart Freeway Pilot Project, which will use innovative technology along I-15 in Temecula & Murrieta to improve traffic flow & reduce travel time. I proudly secured $5 million in federal funding for this project to address traffic challenges in southwest Riverside County.

Our FY27 Energy and Water bill bolsters energy sources, energy technology, and energy growth. It advances ingenuity and discoveries that will shape the future. And it prioritizes essential waterway, flood control, and ports and harbors projects that will support U.S. communities. The result is a stronger America—today and for generations to come.

House Committee on Appropriations is moving full steam ahead by passing the Energy and Water bill out of committee, which is jam-packed with wins for Arizona, from providing funding to the U.S. Department of the Interior to bolstering our cybersecurity infrastructure.

We’re backing law enforcement, upgrading infrastructure, strengthening rural communities, + investing in the future of ag.

Time for House Republicans to pass these results for the heartland on the floor next week. 🇺🇸

The United States has never feared new frontiers - we have led them. From Apollo 11 to Artemis II, our nation continues pushing the boundaries of discovery, progress, and leadership.

The FY27 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies bill – which has advanced out of full committee – supports continued innovation and the work of NASA, helping ensure each next giant leap of mankind is made under the American flag. Subcommittee Chairman Hal Rogers and CJS members had the honor of welcoming NASA Artemis II astronauts to discuss their mission, congressional investment, and the chapters ahead.

A love of country, a pioneering spirit, and an enduring drive to reach higher were on full display.

Article I is more than a clause in the Constitution – it is a responsibility to govern.

To ask tough questions.
To scrutinize spending.
To conduct oversight.
To debate priorities openly and transparently before the American people.

The culmination of that duty was on full display last week as the House passed – with overwhelming bipartisan support – the first FY27 appropriations bill: the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Act, led by Representative John Carter.

The legislation reflects countless hours of hearing testimony, oversight, accountability, and careful line-by-line deliberation to strengthen support for our veterans, military families, servicemembers, and base readiness. A win for those who serve – and for the nation they defend.

Traveling safer, strengthening our skies and maritime corridors, and rebuilding critical infrastructure for the future.

These are the priorities driving today’s discussion as Rep. Steve Womack gavels in a 2PM budget hearing with the U.S. Department of Transportation.
