A year ago, the last large group of USAID staff were dismissed, spelling the effective end of what was once the world's most powerful aid agency.

With profound respect, we are proud to launch a virtual tribute to the 108 USAID Foreign Service officers, local staff, contractors, and family members honored on the USAID Memorial Wall.

For 20 years, the Memorial Wall stood in USAID’s headquarters at the Ronald Reagan Building. In April 2025, as USAID was being dismantled, the wall was removed. After sitting in storage for nearly a year, it was installed at the State Department in May.

USAID may be gone, but we will never forget our colleagues' service and sacrifice to our nation.

We created this virtual Memorial Wall to preserve their stories and honor those who lost their lives carrying out America’s development and humanitarian mission around the world.
