"The only true threat to earned benefits is continued inaction. I urge Congress to pass the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act now. Those who wear and those who wore the uniform kept every promise they made to this country. The most patriotic thing we can do is keep ours." — Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) CEO, Lt. Gen. Brian T. Kelly, USAF (Ret).

Today marks 25 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

For Chairman Bost and many of the veteran members who serve on our Committee, this day is deeply personal.

For many of them — like so many veterans and military families — the events on 9/11 changed the course of their life as they ran towards danger, defended our American way of life, and served overseas in the years that followed.

We will never forget the 2,977 everyday Americans who lost their lives in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania on this tragic day.

There is an inscription on the National 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York City that reads, “No day shall erase you from the memory of time.”

25 years later — we proudly uphold that promise.

The steel of American resolve will continue to honor, remember, and tell the stories of those Americans — and the thousands of service men and women who gave their lives in the years that followed.

We will . 🇺🇸

Ed Edmundson – caregiver and father of Eric Edmundson, a severely disabled veteran – has not seen their family’s VA benefits increase in 20+ years.

The Take Care of America’s Veterans Act directly supports the thousands of American families like theirs who have given so much by increasing and expanding VA benefits options nationwide. 🇺🇸

Chairman Bost at today’s oversight hearing on EHRM: “We can talk all day about IT systems, contracts, and technical terms. But at the end of the day, this is about the veteran sitting in an exam room.”
