mic. The first after school youth program began in a local park; engaging and creating a space where young people could openly express their uniqueness through reading and rap sessions. Delyon’s passion was fueled when he was awarded the Genius of the Beloved Community Award referred by actor, Lamon Rucker; and was named Foster Parent of the Year by Boys and Girls Town of America in 2006. serves the entire community on diverse levels partnering with the District of Columbia Government, Macy’s, Giant, District of Columbia school system, Washington Redskins, and Whittier Education Center serving all youth, seniors, and small local businesses.
