DC IdeasFest

DC IdeasFest From November 17 – 20, 2016, join us at the Carnegie Library in DC’s City Center to explore the city' Our three pillars are education, equity, and innovation.

The Class of 2030:
This Fall, close to 4,000 young students will start Kindergarten in DC Public Schools. If nothing changes, close to half will not graduate from high school. As a demanding call to action, “The Class of 2030” asks how we as a united city can interrupt this trajectory. Inclusive City:
Washington is one of the fastest growing cities in the US, and has one of the highest rates of in

equality. What do we have to do so that everyone can benefit from the rapid development of our District? How can we address the growing divide between rich and poor? How do we become a city that is inclusive of all? Inspired City:
Creativity and Innovation run deep everyday and in every part of our city. What can we learn from the artists who dare us to question the status quo, and how can we nurture the innovative spirit that can take us to a different future?
