A Courtesy Call was made to The Gambia Embassy in Washington DC by Her Excellency Madam Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang, Minister of Women's Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, in the margins of Her Excellency's hectic schedule in Washington DC attending a Conference on Asset Tracing and Recovery. Her Excellency also met with the outgoing Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Africa Affairs of the US State Department, during which issues of mutual interest and concerns were discussed. Along the course of this week, Her Excellency will hold important meetings with strategic development partners in the nation's capital such the US State Department, World Bank, US Congress and various Donor Foundations, to further discuss ways in which the New Gambia's Development Agenda could be supported globally.
Following her participation at the Commission on the Status of Women which was organized by the United Nations in New York, the Minister of Women’s Affairs of The Gambia, overseeing the Office of the Vice-President, Mrs. Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang is in Washington DC to attend a Conference on Asset Tracing and Recovery. H.E. Madam Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang visited the Embassy of The Gambia today, were she met with the staff and encouraged them to work hard. She also held an important meeting with the outgoing Assistant Secretary of the African Bureau at the State Department on matters of mutual interest and concern. During her Sojourn in the nations capital, Mrs. Jallow-Tambajang, will also hold discussions with strategic partners at the State Department, the American Congress, the World Bank and donor agencies to garner support for The Gambia’s development agenda.
