💻🖼️🏛️ ✨ June Museum Spotlight ✨📣This month we’re featuring the Columbia Museum of Art.

➕ℹ️ The Columbia Museum of Art (CMA) is a prominent cultural institution that welcomes more than 150,000 visitors each year through its exhibitions, educational programs, and community initiatives. Its collection comprises over 7,000 artworks spanning 5,000 years of history and diverse artistic traditions.

Recognized nationally for its contributions to arts education and community engagement, the museum also houses works by notable Spanish artists, including Alonso Miguel de Tovar, Antonio Vásquez, Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes, and Juan de Pareja.

The film follows Valentina, a girl with Down syndrome who dreams of becoming a trapeze artist and, with the support of her grandmother, learns never to lose her sense of wonder or her desire to keep learning.

🎨 Walls tell stories, and this one is reshaping Georgetown’s landscape. Here’s a first look behind-the-scenes of a new public mural in Washington, DC, designed by Spanish artist Paco Roca to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and Spain’s contribution to its origins. 🇪🇸🇺🇸

🚨🖼️ A year in the making... and we can finally share it with you! We're thrilled to unveil our new exhibition, Portraits: 12 Lives, 12 Journeys at the Spanish Cultural Center, opening next Thursday during La Terraza 2026! ✨

➕ For over a year, and on the occasion of the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the US, we've been working with an incredible group of Spanish comic artists and illustrators to celebrate twelve influential Spanish figures from the 20th and 21st centuries through original graphic narratives. 🇪🇸🇺🇸

📚 And there's more! The project has also come to life as a beautiful book featuring all twelve comics, which will soon be available for purchase.

🎨 Featuring works by Carles Esquembre, Cristina Bueno, Blanca Mira, Adamantink, Javi de Castro, Sara Soler, Don Julio, César Sebastián, Raquel Riba Rossy (Lola Vendetta), Anabel Colazo, David Güell, Xulia Vicente and Fran Mariscal (.mariscalmancilla).

🇪🇺 🇺🇸State of the Arts Night will take place this Saturday, an event that brings together European and American artists for a one-night program of visual art, film, music, and transatlantic exchange.🤝

✨State of the Arts Night 2026 features performances, installations, exhibitions, and artist encounters as part of the Transatlantic Rising Stars Project. Developed in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the program brings together 25 artists working across visual arts, music, and film, following a series of residencies and collaborations in the United States.🎨🎬🎼

🇪🇸Spanish participation includes visual artist Jorge Mañes Rubio, who contributes through a collaboration with Hollis Chitto (New Mexico), and film director Guillermo García López, who is featured in the immersive film installation alongside four other European directors. 🎉
