What happens at a workforce center? 🤔

Workforce centers are places where people can connect with the resources and support they need to take their next career step.

They can help job seekers:
🔹 Find and apply for jobs
🔹 Build resumes and prepare for interviews
🔹 Explore career options
🔹 Access training
🔹 Connect with employers
🔹 Find community resources for things like transportation, childcare and other supports that make it easier to pursue employment

And they do more than help people find jobs. They also connect individuals to opportunities that can lead to meaningful careers.

The New Hampshire profile in the 2025 State of the Workforce Report highlights key initiatives focused on helping build a more responsive, technology-driven workforce system that connects job seekers and employers with the tools, opportunities and support they need to succeed. Featured innovations include:

đź”·The WorkInvestNH EMT Training Incentive Program supported the recruitment and retention of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
đź”·Implemented the Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program to provide eligible workers with paid leave benefits.
đź”·The WIOA Adult Program helps individuals secure quality employment by providing job search assistance, skills training, and career development opportunities.

90 Years of | The Ninth Decade (2016-2025)

January 5, 2017 – NASWA announced its first Legislative Priorities document which helps advance states’ efforts to ensure our nation’s workforce system meets employers’ needs for a qualified workforce and promote high-quality employment and careers for workers.

September 12, 2019 - NASWA released its first-ever State of the Workforce Report in order to amplify the impact our members are having throughout the U.S. The report highlights key innovations along with labor market and unemployment insurance information, an overview of the state’s workforce structure, and individuals served.
