On Saturday, May 2nd, the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center was honored to represent the Sultanate of Oman at Passport DC, building a cultural bridge that welcomed guests into the country’s rich history, heritage, and traditions.

Aligned with the America 250 theme, the day reflected a shared spirit of connection, cultural exchange, and enduring partnership. SQCC was proud to represent Oman—a nation whose longstanding friendship with the United States continues to grow stronger. A dedicated section of the exhibition at the center highlighted 250 years of American independence, presenting a collection of images that illustrated the historic ties between Oman and the United States—an exhibit that was warmly received by visitors. Many also had the opportunity to create their own traditional Omani accessories, leaving with a personal keepsake and a deeper appreciation for the Sultanate’s timeless heritage.

Throughout Passport DC day, visitors immersed themselves in the beauty of Omani culture, from elegant traditional attire and handcrafted artisan pieces to the warm aromas of Omani coffee and dates. Guests enjoyed henna art, Arabic calligraphy, and a photo station set against breathtaking Omani landscapes.
