✨ Hier soir, la Délégation du Québec à Washington a eu le plaisir d’assister au vernissage de , un festival culturel incontournable qui met chaque année à l’honneur la diversité et la vitalité du monde francophone dans la région de Washington à l’occasion du Mois de la Francophonie.
Notre délégué, Benjamin Bélair, y était présent et a pu échanger avec Son Excellence Nada Hamadeh Moawad, Ambassadrice du Liban, qui nous a chaleureusement accueillis dans sa résidence pour l’événement. Un grand merci à Mme l’Ambassadrice et à toute son équipe pour leur accueil généreux et leur contribution au succès de cette belle soirée.
Le Grand Prix de la Francophonie a été remis à Mme Marilyn Matar, professeure à l’Université du Maryland (College Park), pour sa contribution remarquable au rayonnement de la langue française et des cultures francophones. Toutes nos félicitations pour cette distinction pleinement méritée!
Nous remercions également Smithsonian Associates, organisateur principal de FrancophonieDC, pour son rôle essentiel dans la mise en valeur et la célébration de la francophonie dans la région.
En tant que délégation, nous demeurons pleinement engagés à promouvoir la langue française, les cultures francophones et les partenariats qui enrichissent notre espace francophone commun.

✨ Last night, the Québec Government Office in Washington had the pleasure of attending the opening of , an essential cultural festival that highlights each year the diversity and vitality of the francophone world in the Washington area as part of Francophonie Month.
Our Delegate, Benjamin Bélair, was present and had the opportunity to speak with Her Excellency Nada Hamadeh Moawad, Ambassador of Lebanon, who warmly welcomed us to her residence for the event. Our sincere thanks to the Ambassador and her entire team for their generous hospitality and their contribution to the success of this wonderful evening.
The Grand Prix de la Francophonie was awarded to Professor Marilyn Matar of the University of Maryland (College Park), in recognition of her remarkable contribution to promoting the French language and francophone cultures. Our warmest congratulations on this well‑deserved distinction!
We also extend our thanks to Smithsonian Associates, the main organizer of FrancophonieDC, for its essential role in showcasing and celebrating francophonie in the region.
