Established and Founded by Bevioral Health professionals on July of 2014 in Washington, D.C.,

ABHCSW advocates for and serves Community Support Workers (CSW's) that service populations of people that receive Behavioral/Mental Health care. The Association for Behavioral Health Community Support Workers was founded based on a need to strengthen the community by providing community support worker

s with the necessary tools to provide Behavioral Health Support Services to low income residents of Washington DC. They provide Behavioral Health education, links to health services, and support in managing Behavioral Health and health services. Community Support Workers serve communities with cultural, linguistic, or economic barriers to Behavioral Health and health services. They serve the Community that cannot serve itself.
