Welcome to our Advocacy in Action series!

Join me as I take you behind the scenes of what it looks like to be a DHH advocate.

My colleague Gabby Morreale joined me Johns Hopkins University to present to students in the STEMM-HEAR program and share about AG Bell, our resources, & community.

Less than 5% of STEM professionals are deaf or hard of hearing. It was amazing to connect with students truly passionate about makingring their mark in STEM 🧬🧪🧫🔭

Another incredible day at the 2026 Global LSL Symposium! This morning's keynote with Dr. Chrisanda Sanchez took a deep dive into a whole-child approach to pediatric hearing healthcare, emphasizing early intervention, interdisciplinary collaboration, and family-centered care. Dr. Viral Tejani then closed the day with a look at how advances in cochlear implant technology are improving patient outcomes.

Between concurrent sessions and poster presentations, today was a powerful reminder of the innovation and dedication driving the Listening and Spoken Language community forward. The excitement continues tomorrow for Day 3!

As a reminder, CEUs are available through ASHA, AAA, and the AG Bell Academy. Most sessions will also be recorded and available through the on-demand Virtual Symposium starting in July.
