"Everyone's path is unique."

This Deaf Awareness Month, we're celebrating the diverse experiences, perspectives, and journeys of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

In Episode 3 of AG Bell's Come On, Let's Hear It Podcast, Emerson and Ammanu reflect on their experiences growing up deaf, attending mainstream schools, building friendships, navigating social experiences, and finding confidence in who they are.

Their conversation reminds us that there is no single deaf experience. Every journey is different, every challenge is personal, and every story has value.

🎙️ Join us as we celebrate Deaf Awareness Month by amplifying authentic voices and lived experiences.

Not all hearing loss shows up at birth. For some families, it's identified months or years later, often after screenings passed, risk factors were missed, or concerns were brushed aside.

That's the focus of our next AG Bell Parent Chat with parent advocate, author, and awareness ambassador Valerie James Abbott.

Drawing from her book, Late to the Party, she'll share her family's journey and what she's learned since, including:

-Recognizing the behavioral red flags of hearing loss
-Processing the emotions that follow a late diagnosis
-Advocating for your child with medical professionals
-Stories of hope from her book
