Hi friends! I’m asking for your support. Before you scroll please hear me out!🙏🏻….As many of you know, I am a veteran and this organization means so much to me. I know it’s a lot to read, especially when we are all busy with our day to day lives. That being said, I’m asking you to take 5 minutes and read this post and donate what you can to this cause.

Every penny goes directly to helping our veterans. There is zero profit being made here and I would not advocate for them if I thought otherwise for even one second. Folks, we are asking you to donate just $19.50. You most certainly can donate more, but we are hoping that all you wonderful caring Americans out there can donate $19.50. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Every single dollar raised goes to support veterans’ programs. Check out, protectourveterans.org to see our list of programs.

POV exists to support the men and women who wore the red, white and blue and to save America from within. It is a shame that a veteran could be homeless, unemployed, in need of mental health or medical attention, praying for prison reform or help receiving the benefits they deserve. We also support GOLDSTAR FAMILIES. Our employment services are second to none.

The best thing we honestly did in 2025 is buying 8,712 meals for 10 for veterans on Thanksgiving. We also sent 9,142 meals for 10 during Christmas. And we made sure 11,000 plus veterans’ children received Christmas presents to put under the tree.

Do you realize 22 Veterans, on average, commit su***de every day? Veterans have a 500% higher su***de rate than the average. Protect Our Veterans works diligently to try to get this number to zero.

Recently, I started to think about what changes I noticed about myself over the years.

Here is my simple… and honest answer.

1.) After spending most of my life loving everyone else… parents, family, friends… I’ve finally learned to love myself too.

2.) I’ve realized I’m not Atlas… the world doesn’t rest on my shoulders.

3.) I no longer argue over small change. A few pennies won’t hurt me, but they might help someone else more than I know.

4.) I tip generously. A little extra can mean a lot to someone working hard every day.

5.) I don’t stop older people from repeating stories. Those stories bring them joy and keep memories alive.

6.) I’ve stopped trying to correct everyone. Peace matters more than being right.

7.) I give compliments freely… and I’ve learned to accept them with a simple “thank you.”

8.) I don’t stress over wrinkles in clothes or little imperfections. Who I am matters more than how I look.

9.) I walk away from people who don’t value me. I know my worth, even if they don’t.

10.) I stay calm when others compete unfairly. I’m not in a race with anyone.

11.) I no longer hide my emotions. They’re part of what makes me human.

12.) I choose relationships over ego. Pride can isolate you… love keeps you connected.

13.) I try to live each day fully… because none of us know how many we have left.

14.) And most importantly… I do what makes me happy. That’s my responsibility. Happiness is a choice.

I end with this:

Why wait until you’re 40 or 50 to live this way?
Start now… any age is the right age.
