As we observe International Missing Children’s Day, we want to acknowledge and support the ongoing efforts of investigators, coroners, medical examiners, and all allied criminal justice professionals that are actively working to return missing children to their families.

Since 2007, NamUs has helped with the resolution of more than 20,000 cases involving missing children. 17 years later, we continue to be a resource for missing and unidentified persons of all ages.

To learn more about our efforts surrounding missing and unidentified children cases, including a recent forensic genetic genealogy resolution involving an unidentified girl from Iowa, visit https://namus.nij.ojp.gov/commemorating-national-missing-childrens-day-2024.
