Big news for workers and families in our community!

American Edge Project coalition partner, Meta just launched America's Workforce Academy, a no-cost skilled trades training program offering a free five-week bootcamp, including housing and airfare, plus a guaranteed job offer upon completion.

Participants earn industry-recognized credentials in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fiber installation that they can take to any employer, anywhere. The program is currently open in Ohio, Louisiana, Texas, and Indiana.

T-Mobile has introduced Live Translation — now in beta and rolling out soon. The feature offers real-time call translation in 80+ languages, powered directly through the network with no additional apps required. It will be available exclusively to T-Mobile members.

Fact 👉 Small percussion instruments like güiros (gourd scrapers) dialogue with drums and other instruments, giving salsa and its musical family their flavor. This güiro was collected from Indigenous musicians in eastern Cuba in 1919.

With diverse African roots, along with Spanish, Indigenous, and other Caribbean influences, salsa’s interlocking rhythms invite us to dance. Dive deeper into salsa’s instruments and sounds at our latest exhibit!

Con diversas raíces africanas, además de influencias españolas, indígenas y caribeñas, los ritmos intercalados de la salsa nos invitan a bailar. ¡Conoce a profundidad los instrumentos y sonidos de la salsa en nuestra última exposición!
