More than anything else, Georgetown Ministry Center is a place for Georgetown’s homeless population to belong, feel safe, and be accepted. Each winter from November through March,
GMC shelters ten homeless men and women in ten of the area’s congregations. Volunteers from each congregation support a GMC staff member and prepare a wholesome dinner and breakfast every night. GMC also expands public understanding of homelessness and mental illness through our website, blog, newsletter, and social media. We also attend speaking engagements and conduct street outreach with other community organizations.
