1 Peter 1:15-16
New Living Translation
15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”
Taking this from a two second read to a point of meditation is where change begins. God demands us to be like Him. Basically God is saying walk in agreement with what He says, does, and how he operates. This is key to seeing Him move in our lives. If God says I am holy than that's what I am. He would not demand something of me that I could not be. I am holy because of the works of Christ and accepting Him in my life. It has nothing to do with how I feel, because there are times when feelings will try to dictate who I am. But as a spirit being I stand in agreement with God and who he says I am. Not what people in the world say but who God says I am. No matter what is going on in my life I am to walk in agreement with God. There is power in walking in agreement with God. Authority that He has given us before the foundation of the world. My identity is in Him and who He says I am. Whatever I want to see in this life I must walk in agreement with God and what He says about it. If we want God with us in whatever we face in this life we must walk in agreement with Him and what His word says about us. Daily confess I am holy, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I am healed, my strength is renewed like the eagles.
And if a brother or sisters confession is wavering remind them of who God says they are. If they receive it or not that's on them but you stayed true to loving your neighbor as yourself.
When we walk in agreement with God we can free millions of people like Mosses, give birth to generations of God fearing people like Abraham, and do the greater works that God says we can do through Christ.
There is power in agreement.
