กิจกรรมกงสุลสัญจร ณ วัดพุทธาวาส เมืองฮิวสตัน รัฐเท็กซัส
เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ - ๑๗ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๙ ฝ่ายกงสุล สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงวอชิงตัน นำโดยนายวสุ ศรีวราธนบูลย์ หัวหน้าฝ่ายกงสุล ได้เดินทางไปให้บริการด้านกงสุลแก่ประชาชนชาวไทย ณ วัดพุทธาวาส เมืองฮิวสตัน รัฐเท็กซัส เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกในการทำหนังสือเดินทาง การทำบัตรประจำตัวประชาชน และการยื่นเอกสารขอสูติบัตร และมรณบัตร รวมทั้งการให้ข้อมูลและคำปรึกษาด้านกงสุลอื่น ๆ เช่น การรับรองเอกสารการทำหนังสือมอบอำนาจ แก่คนไทยที่พำนักอยู่ในรัฐเท็กซัสและรัฐใกล้เคียง โดยในวันที่ ๑๕ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๙ ได้เปิดให้บริการรอบพิเศษเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้สูงอายุโดยเฉพาะสำหรับผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุ ๖๐ ปีขึ้นไป โดยไม่ต้องลงทะเบียนนัดหมายล่วงหน้าด้วย
การให้บริการกงสุลสัญจรในครั้งนี้เป็นการดำเนินกิจกรรมกงสุลสัญจรครั้งที่ ๕ ของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ในปีประมาณ ๒๕๖๙ ซึ่งประสบความสำเร็จด้วยดี โดยได้รับความอนุเคราะห์จากวัดพุทธาวาส คณะกรรมการวัด และอาสาสมัครในพื้นที่ ทั้งนี้ มีประชาชนมารับบริการทั้งสิ้น ๓๘๗ ราย แบ่งเป็นการทำหนังสือเดินทาง จำนวน ๑๙๖ ราย และทำบัตรประชาชน จำนวน ๑๓๑ ราย รวมทั้งการยื่นเอกสารขอสูติบัตรและมรณบัตร และการขอคำปรึกษาด้านนิติกรณ์และทะเบียนราษฎรอื่น ๆ จำนวน ๖๐ ราย

Mobile Consular Services at Wat Buddhavas in Houston, Texas
During 15 - 17 May 2026, the Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., led by Mr. Vasu Srivarathonbul, Head of the Consular Section, provided consular services at Wat Buddhavas in Houston, Texas. The mission aimed to facilitate access to consular services for Thai nationals residing in Texas and nearby states.
Services provided included the issuance of new passports, renewal of national identification cards, submission of applications for birth and death certificates, as well as consultations on other consular matters, including legalization of documents and powers of attorney.
On 15 May 2026, a special walk-in service was arranged for senior citizens aged 60 years and above, allowing eligible applicants to receive services without prior appointment.
This mission is the fifth mobile consular service operation of the Fiscal Year 2026, and was successfully carried out with the support and cooperation of Wat Buddhavas, members of the temple committee and local volunteers.
A total of 387 individuals received consular services, including 196 passport renewals and 131 renewals of national identification cards, as well as 60 cases of birth and death certificates applications and consultations on legalization of documents.
