جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني يلتقي الرئيس اللبناني العماد جوزاف عون في باريس، على هامش الجولة الجديدة من مبادرة "اجتماعات العقبة" المقرر عقدها يوم غد الخميس لبحث سبل دعم الجيش اللبناني، ويؤكد وقوف الأردن إلى جانب الأشقاء اللبنانيين واستمرار دعمهم للحفاظ على أمنهم واستقرارهم وسيادتهم، مشددا على ضرورة وقف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على أراضي لبنان.

His Majesty King Abdullah II meets with Lebanon President Gen. Joseph Aoun in Paris, ahead of the latest round of Aqaba Process meetings, to be held on Thursday, to address ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces. His Majesty reaffirms Jordan’s solidarity with the Lebanese people, and its continued support for the preservation of Lebanon’s security, stability and sovereignty, emphasising the need to put an end to Israel’s attacks on Lebanon’s territory.

From the heart of Wadi Rum, Jordan is shining a light for peace.

The Jordan Red Crescent Society launched its “Light in the Darkness” campaign, lighting a symbolic torch and candles of hope while announcing that Jordan will host the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Peace Conference on May 5, 2027.

The gathering will mark the Movement’s first international peace conference in more than four decades, bringing the global humanitarian community to Jordan.

Jordan continues to advance technical and design work at Bethany Village near the Baptism Site, with heritage specialists conducting field assessments in line with UNESCO standards to preserve the area’s unique religious, historical and natural character while enhancing the pilgrim and visitor experience.

The work comes as Jordan prepares to commemorate the 2,000th anniversary of the Baptism of Jesus Christ in 2030.

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army and the UN World Food Programme, dispatched Jordan’s 13th humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon.

The 14-truck convoy carries medical supplies, equipment and hygiene kits to support the health sector and vulnerable communities.
