The Attaché, also known as Atdikbud DC, is the Indonesian government's education and cultural representative in the United States. Based in Washington DC, Atdikbud DC serves as a bridge for education and culture between Indonesia and the US. Among our activities is administering Darmasiswa scholarship, a scholarship program for international students interested in learning Indonesian language, cul

ture, and arts. We also oversee the conditions of Indonesian students in the US and provide assistance to the establishment of educational and/or cultural cooperation between the two countries. This Page provides information on relevant events and goings-on related to education and culture. We post events organized by Permias (Indonesian Students Associtations in the US) and other Indonesian organizations here related to education and culture. 🇮🇩✨ Welcoming Future Leaders to the Embassy! 🇺🇸🎓

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Washington, D.C. had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP) under the United Methodist College Washington Consortium.

The group was received by diplomats from various divisions of the Embassy, who shared insights on Indonesia’s foreign policy, trade and economic cooperation, cultural diplomacy, and education engagement with the United States. The visit also included an interactive discussion and a tour of our historic Embassy building.

We thank Dean & Executive Director Robert Walter and the entire CHIP cohort for this meaningful exchange. We hope today’s visit inspires a deeper understanding of Indonesia–U.S. relations and encourages global-minded leadership among the students.
