Old poll but the issue still stands. It's time to abolish the Electoral College. The President represents all of us and should be elected by a majority of us! Let the candidate with the best ideas and the most support win!

The House approved a constitutional amendment to dismantle the indirect voting system, but it was killed in the Senate by a filibuster.

If the President is going to represent us at home and overseas then they should be elected by the majority of us. This poll is a year old but support remains high. Time to get rid of this outdated system!!!

Time to get rid of it.

In 1969, Congress almost approved a constitutional amendment to get rid of the electoral college. Instead the body will meet Dec. 14 to ratify Joe Biden’s election, despite President Trump’s refusal to concede and pressure to overturn the results.
