Award-winning program serving seniors
Harford County has earned another national award, this time for a program that brings resources and services directly to 11 senior housing communities countywide. The nonprofit USAging recognized Harford’s BLOOM Project, which functions as a senior center on the move, with a 2026 Aging Innovations & Achievement Award. Developed by our Office on Aging, the program brings health and wellness, nutrition, fitness, and social engagement opportunities to seniors where they live. I am proud of our Office on Aging for this creative solution to seniors’ mobility challenges and for the compassionate service they provide year round to our valued senior citizens.
