What kind of a company takes on a project to build Trump’s White House ballroom AND a new ICE headquarters in Washington, D.C., all while depending on the labor of the very people Trump demonizes and terrorizes? That would be Clark Construction.
Virginia-based Clark Construction takes $6 billion in annual revenue, much of it from contracts with the Trump administration. That includes $200 million to build Trump’s new White House ballroom, a disgusting vanity project meant to enhance his own image. They’ve built numerous AI and cloud computing data centers for the FBI, the Pentagon, and many of the agencies and contractors that make the U.S. war machine run.
Clark doesn’t have to remain on the wrong side of history. Construction of the new ICE headquarters has not yet started - and Clark can still back out, as other companies have across the country on similar projects. A growing movement is demanding Clark refuse this contract, which would be just 4% of its annual revenue. Clark has a chance now to do right by its workers and by the people of D.C. and refuse to proceed with building a new headquarters for the most hated police force in the country.
