Melissa Just has been selected to serve as the next university library dean. Her tenure begins Nov. 27, replacing Catherine Quinlan who stepped down last August, after serving as dean for 15 years.

A new report, culminating a five-year project, offers greater evidence of the collective benefits of sustainable digital publication and public access to scholarly books.

The joint report found that increased global readership and stronger relationships among libraries, research deans and faculty were all byproducts of digital publication.
