DCFD Engine 26 / Truck 15 Located in the northeast quadrant of Washington, D.C., 26 Engine and 15 Truck protect the Brentwood

Established on September 18, 1908 as the second Chemical Company #3, and later becoming Engine 26 on July 9, 1913, 26 Engine's quarters originally was located at 2700 22nd Street NE. Truck 15 was organized and placed in service on April 21, 1937 at 1340 Rhode Island Ave NE. Here it remained as a single truck house while Engine 26 resided on 22nd Street NE. On June 10, 1940, after a consolidation

of fire companies and houses throughout Washington, DC took place, the quarters of Engine 26 was disbanded and Engine 26 joined Truck 15 in their current location at 1340 Rhode Island Ave NE, in the Brentwood Neighborhood in NE DC, where both have resided since.
