Community Conversations

College Bound Executive Director Kenneth Ward had the opportunity to host a meaningful conversation with Councilmember Robert White at SW Academy DC. Together, they discussed important issues impacting our youth, including teen curfews, teen takeovers, education, and civic responsibility.

Engaging young people in conversations like these helps empower the next generation to become informed, responsible, and active members of their communities. Thank you to SW Academy DC and Councilmember Robert White for fostering an open dialogue on issues that matter.

A powerful evening of mentorship, opportunity, and community! 🎓✨

The The University Club of Washington, DC hosted the third and final session of University Bound, a workshop series designed to expose College Bound seniors to a wide range of career professionals and pathways to success.

We were honored to welcome CB alumni panelists Eboni Ellis and Jaron Hickman, who shared their experiences and insights with our students.

The evening also included the presentation of three $1,500 scholarships to outstanding CB seniors Bryan, Javon, and Raina. 👏

This decades-long partnership is a true testament to the power of COMMUNITY. Special thanks to the University Club and the Community Affairs Committee for continuing to invest in the next generation.
