10 Habits That Are Slowly Pulling You Away From Allah 🤍
Sometimes… it’s not one big sin that distances us from Allah.
It’s the small habits… repeated daily… without reflection.
💭 Here are 10 habits you need to fix today:
1️⃣ Neglecting Salah
Your prayer is your lifeline. Skipping it disconnects your heart from Allah.
“Indeed, ˹genuine˺ prayer should deter ˹one˺ from indecency and wickedness.” (29:45)
2️⃣ Disrespecting Parents
Their du‘as built your life. Don’t destroy your barakah with harshness.
“And honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully.” (17:23)
3️⃣ Using Foul Language
Every word is recorded. Speak what benefits you.
“not a word does a person utter without having a ˹vigilant˺ observer ready ˹to write it down˺.” (50:18)
4️⃣ Endless Scrolling
Time is your most valuable asset. Don’t waste it on what won’t benefit your akhirah.
“By the ˹passage of˺ time! Surely humanity is in ˹grave˺ loss,” (103:1-2)
5️⃣ Haram Music
What enters your ears settles in your heart. Protect your soul.
“But there are some who employ theatrics,1 only to lead others away from Allah’s Way—without any knowledge—and to make a mockery of it.” (31:6)
6️⃣ Ignoring Boundaries
Islam protects you through limits. Don’t cross what leads to regret.
“Do not go near adultery. It is truly a shameful deed and an evil way.” (17:32)
7️⃣ Ignoring the Qur’an
Allah is speaking to you. Don’t leave His words unopened.
“Surely this Quran guides to what is most upright,” (17:9)
8️⃣ Seeking Praise (Riya)
Do it for Allah… not for people.
“worship Allah ˹alone˺ with sincere devotion to Him in all uprightness” (98:5)
9️⃣ Losing Haya (Modesty)
Modesty is part of faith. Guard your dignity.
“Surely Allah loves those who always turn to Him in repentance and those who purify themselves.” (2:222)
🔟 Delaying Change
Tomorrow is not promised. Start now.
