We’re proud to share that two United States Mint coins have been selected in the 2026 Coin of the Year Awards for coins dated 2025:

✨ The American Innovation $1 Coin – Michigan (Automobile Assembly Line) has been selected as one of the 10 nominees in the Most Historically Significant Coin category.

✨ The 2025 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin has been selected as one of the 10 nominees in the Best Gold Coin category.

The Coin of the Year Awards are among the most respected honors in the global minting community, recognizing excellence in coin design and innovation from around the world.

🏆 Winners will be announced August 27 at the World’s Fair of Money in Pittsburgh.

🇺🇸 The Act of May 18, 1908, made the use of the motto IN GOD WE TRUST mandatory on all coins upon which it had previously appeared. The motto was not mandatory on the one-cent coin and five-cent coin, however, it could be placed on them by the Secretary or the Mint Director with the Secretary's approval.
