We were honored to host a special screening of an inspiring documentary about the life and legacy of Dr. Lilia Abron, President and CEO of PEER Consultants, P.C. As a trailblazing environmental engineer, entrepreneur, and advocate for environmental justice, Dr. Abron's story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of leadership, perseverance, and creating opportunities for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful conversation about clean energy, sustainability, equity, and the impact one person can have on communities around the world.

The DCSEU was proud to join industry leaders, community partners, and District residents at the two-day Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia Energy Action Summit. Our Managing Director, Ben Burdick, had the chance to lead a panel on day one about balancing affordability and access in the District. Across the summit, attendees connected with local organizations, heard from industry leaders, received free energy-saving items, and learned about programs designed to help lower energy costs across the District.

We had a great time at HousingAnd's 35th Annual Meeting and Housing Expo! Our team was able to connect with nonprofit developers, partners, and leaders from the affordable housing community across the region. We shared how DCSEU programs help preserve the affordable housing stock of the District, cut emissions, save energy, and lower costs for building owners and residents. Always a great day being on the ground, having real conversations, and making sure the affordable housing community knows these resources are here for them.

15 years ago, Rick Fleury joined a small team with a big vision: to help redefine power in the District. Today, he’s still a core part of the DCSEU because the mission still matters. Rick has seen firsthand how clean energy solutions change lives, from lowering energy bills for families and businesses to reducing emissions and pollution across the community.
