🇭đŸ‡șHungary’s official guidelines for our delegation to the 81st session of the UN General Assembly have been published. As we prepare for , we proudly reaffirm our commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East, standing firmly in support of the vital mediation efforts led by the United States. The guidelines highlight, among other priorities:

"Regarding issues on the agenda related to the war in Gaza, the Hungarian position is that the path to long-term peace lies in the "Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict" and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, alongside the protection of civilian populations, respecting Israel's right to self-defense, disarming Hamas, and improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Direct negotiations between the parties form the basis of Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation. For the long-term resolution of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, the protection of the civilian population, the recognition of Israel's right to security, the restoration of Lebanon's sovereignty, and the disarmament of Hezbollah are also essential. We highly appreciate the mediation efforts of the US and regional mediators in seeking to end the conflicts in the Middle East."
