DC is bringing the heat today, with temperatures expected to reach the mid-90s. ☀️🔥

Did you know that if your building provides air conditioning, it must be maintained during cooling season under DC housing code requirements?

Cooling isn't just a comfort, it's an important part of safe, habitable housing.

May is Building Safety Month, and we’re celebrating by giving residents the tools they need to tackle home projects the right way. 👇

If you’ve ever wondered, “Do I actually need a permit for this?” you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common questions DOB receives, and getting it wrong can turn a simple project into a serious headache.

That’s why we’re hosting a free educational workshop on Tuesday, May 19, from 12:00 – 3:30 PM, to help DC homeowners and tenants understand the permitting and inspections process, so you can move forward on any project safely, legally, and confidently.
