We need your help to make this year’s Attic Treasures Sale a success! The Friends are currently seeking gently used vintage and household items. Contribute pieces you no longer need so they can be enjoyed by someone new while directly supporting the park 💗

Donations are accepted at the Visitor Center (1112 River Road, Washington Crossing, PA 18977) on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. For larger items or alternate drop-off times, appointments are required by contacting Michelle Flanagan, Director of Operations, at (215) 493-4076 ext. 106 or [email protected]. Please note that we cannot accept bedding, blankets, books, clothing, or upholstered furniture 📦

Mark your calendars, the Attic Treasures Sale will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10 AM to 4 PM in the heart of the Historic Village in the Lower Park. Shop a wide variety of gently used items generously donated by the community, including antiques, artwork, china, home furnishings, small furniture, collectibles, and more, all priced to sell. Through this nationwide program, visitors who receive SNAP benefits can enjoy free or reduced admission, making it easier for everyone to explore the stories, landscapes, and history that shaped our nation 🇺🇸

Each year we are honored to partner with AOY Art Center on the Annual Paint Our River Towns Plein Air, and this year, in honor of the 250th, we were especially proud to sponsor the In Recognition of America250 award 🖌️

Congratulations to artist Deirdre Redel, whose acrylic piece Soldiers’ Graves received this special recognition. The work captures a powerful connection between landscape, memory, and the legacy of the Revolutionary War 🎨

As the judge, Charles Newman noted, the painting reflects a strong sense of Americana and reminds us that “we wouldn’t be here but for the Battle of Trenton” 🖼️

Through art, history continues to inspire new perspectives and meaningful conversations as we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary 🇺🇸

Due to ongoing weather conditions, road access concerns, and water flowing over the spillway entrance road, today’s Memorial Day Ceremony at Washington Crossing Historic Park has been canceled out of concern for visitor safety and the overall visitor experience.

While we explored multiple options to continue with the event, we ultimately felt this was the most responsible decision for our community, volunteers, and guests.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of everyone who planned to join us today as we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to welcome everyone back to the park soon.

As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of American independence, WCHP is preparing for a truly special Independence Day Celebration, and we’re calling on you to be a part of it 🫵

FWCP has launched a targeted fundraising effort to reach its $75,000 goal and support a larger-scale, community-wide event. The day will feature living history programming, live music, and a fireworks finale over the Delaware River, creating a meaningful and memorable experience for visitors of all ages 🎆

To help inspire giving, the Gene and Marlene Epstein Foundation has pledged to match all donations up to $10,000, doubling the impact of every gift made through June 4, 2026. We’re excited to highlight one of the first partners to take part in our new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program! TAUCK, a luxury travel and tourism company, recently joined us as a General Level Supporter with a generous $15,000 contribution 💗

As part of their partnership, nearly 40 Tauck team members spent the day volunteering across the park, painting our new office space, planting trees, supporting the farm, assembling craft kits, and helping care for historic spaces like the Thompson-Neely Grist Mill 🧹

They also took part in a hands-on Colonial Days experience, trying quill pen writing, learning about musket firing, and engaging with our living history programming. Their energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm made a meaningful impact across the site 💥

All of this work took place on Park Day, a signature program of the American Battlefield Trust that celebrates and inspires volunteerism at historic sites nationwide. These efforts will help prepare the park for the upcoming 250th anniversary as we continue readying the site for this important milestone 🇺🇸

This past weekend was a special one for the Friends of Washington Crossing Park team as Executive Director Jennifer Martin and Director of Development Bryanna Galvan celebrated earning their master’s degrees in Nonprofit Leadership from La Salle University. Bryanna also served as a graduate assistant during the program 🎓

As Washington Crossing Historic Park prepares for America’s 250th anniversary, investing in continuing education and professional development is one of the many ways we are strengthening the future of the organization and building the expertise needed for this historic moment 🍎

From fundraising and strategic planning to community engagement and stewardship, the knowledge and experience gained through this program will continue helping us better serve our visitors, members, supporters, and shared community for years to come 🌠

We extend our sincere thanks to Foundations Community Partnership for supporting Jennifer’s studies through its Nonprofit Growth Grant Program and for investing in professional development opportunities that help organizations like ours better serve our shared community 💕
