Happy National Grandparents Day!

September 13th is National Grandparents Day! Did you know that grandparents can enroll their grandkids in WIC if they’re the primary caregivers and income eligible? WIC celebrates all the grandparents who are making a difference!

Postponed- the glow walk has been postponed and will now take place on Saturday, September 26.

UPDATE: A Light in the Dark Glow Walk has been postponed until Saturday, September 26. The time and location will remain the same.

Although the rain may move out during part of the scheduled event time, the forecast calls for rain and potential storms throughout our critical setup window. Our volunteers, food trucks and over 30 community partners must begin setting up hours before the gates open, and many activities, displays and materials cannot be safely prepared in the rain.

After careful consideration, the planning committee determined that moving to the rain date gives us the best opportunity to provide the full and meaningful event experience our community deserves.

We know many people were looking forward to tonight, and we appreciate your understanding. We’ll see you September 26 at Tony’s Welding & Fabrication Stadium! Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Fayette County Public Health staff wore their 988 shirts to help spread a simple but important message: You are not alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Free, confidential support is available 24/7.

Free “You Are Not Alone” yard signs will be available at A Light in the Dark Glow Walk this Saturday, while supplies last.
