Today is National Voter Registration Day - but not in North Dakota. We are the only state that does not have voter registration.

Monthly Commission Meeting

Clean up week is here! Here are some things worth knowing:

▪️The compound will be open Monday-Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm. The compound is open on Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. Plan accordingly.

▪️To access the city compound, you will need to be on Main Ave and go South on 11th St. Follow that road until you see the open gates with dumpsters.

▪️Appliances, tires (limit of 8 per household), batteries, mostly metal items, etc. need to be taken down to the compound.

▪️Curbside pickup is Saturday morning. Please have all items out by 7 am. These items include mattresses, plastic items, couches, TVs, sinks, dishwashers, microwaves, lumber, etc.

You may get a knock on your door in the next day or two, but not to worry! Edyta, a University student from Poland is doing a summer exchange program working for Southwestern Advantage selling educational books and apps for families.
This is Edyta’s first week in Washburn, so if you see her, don't be shy and say hello! Edyta has been approved by the City of Washburn and is a legitimate vendor.
She does not represent and is not affiliated with any of the schools. It is her summer internship and this is the way that she gets to pay her way through school.

Please be advised that water service will be temporarily shut off in Renner Addition and on East 5th Avenue today (8/27) beginning at approximately 10am while crews perform necessary maintenance.

This week the city crew is picking up the mess left behind from the deconstruction of the Memorial Building roof that was damaged during the storm.

We need one more dumpster before we can finish the cleanup. That section of road has been blocked off. Special thanks to Miranda Harvey for helping out!
